JULKAISUVAPAA HETI
Vastarannan Kiisken (Runeberginkatu 26, 00100 HKI) open mic -runosessiot jatkuvat jälleen lauantaina 17.11.2012 kello 19.00 alkaen. Kutsuvieraiden joukko on vähintäänkin (n)elinvoimainen: ennen varsinaista avomikitystä lavalle nousee runopäitä lämmittämään spoken word -poeetta Jenni N. kitaravahvistuksella sekä runoilijat Arto Leivo, Veera Aalto ja A.P. Kivinen.
Kiisken avomikeissä kuvio on yksinkertainen: ota runosi, rap-lyriikkasi tai vaikkapa laulusi mukaan ja tule esittämään ne muille! Emme ole kytänneet kelloon esitysten aikana vaan jokainen saa esittää settinsä loppuun, harkintaa kuitenkin käyttäen.
Esiintyjien kesken arvotaan kaksi ilmaislippua saman illan W/ord! -lavarunousfestivaalille Café Mascotissa! Tölikän avomikitykset juontavat Helsinki Poetry Connection -kollektiivin aktiivijäsenet Kasper Salonen ja Lasse Hauerwaas. Tapahtumaan on vapaa pääsy. Tervetuloa!

The Helsinki Poetry Connection's open mic club at Vastarannan Kiiski (Runeberginkatu 26, 00100 Helsinki) once again welcomes all poets and poetry-minded individuals to experience a night celebrating the spoken and written word. This time around our guest warm-up performers are fourfold: performing with guitar accompaniment will be the lovely Jenni N., followed by poets Arto Leivo, Veera Aalto and A.P. Kivinen.
The principle of the Kiiski Open Mic poetry club is recurring and simple: take out and dust off your poems, rap tracks or song lyrics, whatever the language, and perform them on stage for all to hear! There are only two rules of thumb: only perform your own material (because we're here for you) and try to keep your performance at around 5 minutes in total (so that everyone has a chance to rip the mic).
One lucky open mic'er is normally chosen by lottery to receive a surprise award at the end of the evening; this time around the prize is in the form of two coveted free passes to the culmination of the W/ord! stage poetry festival at Café Mascot!
Kiiski Open Mic will be hosted by poets and long-serving members of the Helsinki Poetry Connection, Kasper Salonen and Lasse Hauerwaas. Entry free of charge. Come one, come all!
