Elokuu on Runokuu, jo kymmenettä kertaa, ja Poetry Jam -klubin syksyn ohjelmisto käynnistyy 22.8.2014 osana festivaaliohjelmaa!
Runokuu Poetry Jam -klubin teemoina ovat aika ja sukupolvet. Illan Cafe Mascotissa (Neljäs linja 2, 00530) avaa klo 19 sähäkkä islantilainen lavarunoilija Kári Tulinius, jonka jälkeen sanataiteen todellinen konkari Claes Andersson upottaa yleisön ajattomiin runokertomuksiinsa. Illan musikaalisesta sanailoittelusta vastaa tumman espanjalaissävyinen duo Café de Abejas. Mascotissa esiintyy myös arvostettu lontoolaistaiteilija ja runoilija André Naffis-Sahely sekä uuden polven vantaalainen rap-yhtye Folio Oliot.
Tämänkin Poetry Jam -illan päätteeksi järjestetään tottakai open mic. Jameissa jaetaan yllätyspalkinto niiden open mic -esiintyjien kesken, jotka käsittelevät esityksissään Runokuun teemaa, aikaa.
Tilaisuuden juontaa runoilija Kasper Salonen, ja illan levymusiikista vastaa dj Nada. Tervetuloa!

It's August, which means it's time for the week-long Poetry Moon festival and for the Poetry Jam club to start up its Fall program in grand international style!
The themes of the first Poetry Jam event of the autumn are time and generations. The night at Cafe Mascot (Neljäs linja 2, 00530) will start up at 7 p.m. with the spoken word of Icelandic poet Kári Tulinius, followed by the timeless verse of classic Finnish-Swedish author Claes Andersson. Chanson and cabaret-influenced duo Café de Abejas fill the poetic night with lullabies and ballads from the very depths of time. In addition, worldly Londoner and poet extraordinaire André Naffis-Sahely and Vantaa rap dynamo Folio Oliot will blast our souls with their art.
As always, the Poetry Jam will feature an open mic portion following the main acts. Anyone can attend and recite, rap or sing their own original material on stage. One of the evening's open micers will receive a surprise award at the end of the night -- providing their set includes the theme of TIME.
The event will be hosted by poet Kasper Salonen, and the off-stage beats will be delivered by dj Nada. Welcome!
