Kallio Block Party KIITOS/THANK YOU

Kaikille paikalla olleille suuret kiitokset, Vapaan taiteen tilassa kuultiin todella vapaata, yksilöllistä ja omaperäistä sana- ja musiikkitaidetta. Teea Aarnion upea laulu, lausunta ja improvisaatio yhdessä Ville Lindforsin maagisten sähkösaundien kanssa veivät hienoille matkoille, Tibu Borgstènin kolmikielinen runoilu elähdytti ja innosti, ja Vähäsarjan komeat folk-kappaleet herkistivät. Myös open micin viisi rohkeaa esiintyjää jäivät kaikki mieleen teksteistään -- ja überharvinanen Poetry Jam -antologialevy (Helsinki Poetry Connection 2011) löysi omistajansa. Kiitos Kallio-liike, Kallio Block Partyn vapaaehtoiset, Vapaan taiteen tila ja TE, taiteen kokijat ja edustajat! Dägä!

A big thank you to everyone who attended our underground poetry event at the Space for Free Arts on Saturday, we had an excellent time! Teea Aarnio sang, recited, and improvised amazing spoken word with VIlle Lindfors' electronic soundscape complimenting the words; Tibu Borgstèn read in three different languages about life and love; and folk-wunderkind Vähäsarja elated us all with his beautiful riffs and lyrics. Five brave souls made it to the open mic stage too, and the HPC's super rare Poetry Jam album found a new owner. Our respect and appreciation go out to the Kallio Initiative, the volunteers who made Kallio Block Party happen, the Space for Free Arts, and YOU, the people for whom and by whom urban culture is made possible. Hojo!
