Kiiski Open Mic -klubi 20.2.2016

Runokansa kokoontuu taas kerran Vastarannan kiiskeen lauantaina 20.2.2016 kello 19.00 alkaen!

Illan lämmittelijät ovat:

Kati Neuvonen,
helsinkiläinen runoilija, joka on julkaissut kolme runokokoelmaa.
Viimeisin Ripustus (ntamo) julkaistiin vuonna 2014.

Rosie Swayne
on Englantilainen esiintymisen moniosaaja.

Tapahtuman juontaa Roope Hattu, tervetuloa!

The open mic club at Vastarannan Kiiski (Runeberginkatu 26) once again welcomes all poets and poetry-minded individuals to experience a night celebrating the spoken and written word on Saturday Feb 20th. This time around our guests are:

Kati Neuvonen is a Helsinki based poet who has published three poetry books, the last one called "Viimeisin ripustus" 2014 (ntamo)

Rosie Swayne is a British theatre composer, sound designer, songwriter and performer. This year she is involved in composing the songs for a comical satire eco-musical based on the politics surrounding climate change called ‘FOSSILHEADS’ - solo versions of these songs will feature in her live sets. She will also perform some solo versions of songs from her UK acoustic folk/cabaret/other band Invocal.

Rauhatäti brings spoken word to Kiiski, with two musicans. Jussi Liukkonen and Ahti Pursiainen have created a magical landscape combining words like, spell to dance in the eternity of the universe.

The drill at the Kiiski Open Mic poetry club is recurring and simple: take out and dust off your poems, rap tracks or song lyrics, whatever the language, and perform them on stage for all to hear! There are only two rules of thumb: only perform your own material (because we're here for you) and try to keep your performance at around 5 minutes in total (so that everyone has a chance to rip the mic). No need to sign up, just walk on stage when you feel the urge. And it's possible to plug your beats or guitar into the PA.

The event will be hosted by Roope Hattu. Entry free of charge. Come one, come all!
