Helsingin runokentällä paikkansa vakiinnuttanut Kiiski Open Mic -klubi jatkuu olutravintola Vastarannan Kiiskessä (Runeberginkatu 26, 00100 Helsinki) lauantaina 19.1.2013 kello 19.00. Vuoden ensimmäiset avomikitykset sanailevat lämpimäksi runoilijat Kalle Talonen Turusta ja duo Talvikki & Kemppi Helsingistä.
Kutsuvieraiden jälkeen kuvio on yksinkertainen: kaiva runosi, rap-lyriikkasi tai vaikkapa laulusi esille ja esitä ne muille! Tapahtumassa ei olla tarkkailtu tiiviisti kelloon open micin aikana vaan jokainen saa esittää settinsä loppuun, harkintaa kuitenkin käyttäen. Illan juontaa Helsinki Poetry Connetion -kollektiivin perustaja Harri Hertell. Tapahtumaan on vapaa pääsy. Tervetuloa!

Open the open mic year at Vastarannan Kiiski on 19 Jan 2013
The open mic club at Vastarannan Kiiski (Runeberginkatu 26, 00100 Hesinki) once again welcomes all poets and poetry-minded individuals to experience a night celebrating the sung, spoken and written word. It's time to say hello to 2013 in this, the FIRST Kiiski Open Mic of the year, and this time around our guest warm-up performers are poet Kalle Talonen from Turku and the Talvikki & Kemppi singer-songwriter duo from Helsinki.
The idea of the Kiiski Open Mic poetry club is recurring and simple: take out and dust off your poems, rap tracks or song lyrics, whatever the language, and perform them on stage for all to hear! There are only two rules of thumb: only perform your own material (because we're here for *you*) and try to keep your performance at around 5 minutes in total (so that everyone has a chance to rip the mic). The event will be hosted by founder and Il Capo of the Helsinki Poetry Connection, Harri Hertell. Entry free of charge. Come one, come all!
